Because apparently this whole thing has lit the sports world up. The stupid article is EVERYWHERE. You gotta feel for the poor guy.
A lot of people have asked what BYU is doing in his bedroom, and I just wanted to point out one thing:
BYU didn't "catch" Davies. Davies confessed. He knew it was wrong, he felt bad, and he knew there would be serious consequences the minute he confessed. And he did because, can you believe it, the kid has integrity!
Ok, you may argue that he (possibly) got a girl pregnant (which ISN'T confirmed). But even if that happened, he COULD have denied it. Of course that would have been a despicable thing to do, but certainly athletes have done worse for much, much less. No, Davies is a good person who made a mistake who confessed because he knew it was wrong. Imagine that!
I agree that it took a lot of integrity for him to admit his mistake. Especially in the timing that he did it. He could've just held off for a few weeks and then said something, but he didn't and for that i commend him.
